I Spy

Obsessed with these new initial bangles and bracelets from Natalie Marie Jewellery that I recently discovered via Instagram.

I've yet yet to take off my beautifully crafted stacking and pom pom rings I got for Christmas and now have these firmly in my sights for my next treat.

Make sure to follow Natalie on Facebook and Instagram (@nataliemariejewellery) for sneak peeks of new designs.

Seeing Bags

Had some time on my hands this weekend and started thinking about Christmas...or more precisely what I'll be asking Father Christmas for.  Top of my list is a really beautiful bag.  I like simple, roomy bags with minimal hardware and always black... These 4 are currently top of the list...decisions, decisions.

From the top: Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler (Net-A-Porter), bottom 2 both Balenciaga (Matches).

I had a great morning yesterday with Anouk from Creators of Desire (check out my guest blog for them here) and Matches boutique in Marylebone. My wish list after an hour of styling and shopping was ridiculous... I'll post the results of visit once they're up on Creators of Desire.

Hope you're all having a great weekend.

Blooming

I was really kindly gifted these gorgeous linen and lace bloomers recently by Australian label and boutique Indigo.  I say bloomers rather than shorts because they've got that slight A-line, over-sized feel to them. The little flash of antique-feeling lace is always a winner as it means you can wear your blackest, chunkiest boots and beaten up leathers all at once and still feel feminine and bit summery.  The weather at the moment is so weird and ridiculously bitter for the end of August.  While I'm praying for an Indian summer, outfits like this teamed with a really chunky knit are ideal for battling the confusing temperatures.

Thank you Indigo!! Check out their site here for see more great buys.

Simone

My favorite designer to emerge from London over the past few seasons, Simone Rocha has yet to disappoint.  The tippy-toe brogues were the highlight at the A/W 11 Fashion East Show.  They were such a surprise and it almost took a while for your eyes to adjust to what was actually going on-such an amazing, original concept that perfectly worked with the deconstructed mesh blazers and Where the Wild Things Are crowns.  Androgynous tailoring meets girlish preppy, Rocha knows just how girls want to dress right now.
Roll on S/S 2012 so we can see more!

In the Gang

I might have made a little, very exciting, splurge the other day which I'll let you into tomorrow.  Let's just say I'm one step close to being in the oh-so-cool Marant gang...

Borrowing an old SLR camera from my dad so I'm going to spend tomorow morning playing around, reading the manual in the hope I can start taking some snaps of my own.  Just arrived home for 2 weeks holiday today and am already holed up by the fire, watching bad TV, eating spaghetti-bliss.

That's Tatt

With Selfridges launching their 90s pop shop this week, stuffed full of TLC records, DM's and general grunge, it seems apt that the great Mr lagerfeld had a little retro playtime of his own with his pretty as a picture transfer tattoos.  Brilliant on their own, but even more brilliant when teamed with Chanel's S/S 10 milk-maiden frocks, country clogs and appliqued florals.  I wouldn't mind a little wash-off Chanel pearl bracelet for the weekend, or how about a thigh high garter for Valentine's?  No wonder lara and co were frolicking in the hay bales....
