Chain Me

This Vanessa Bruno jersey dress is now on sale at Net-A-Porter and its fuelled my obsession with layers and layers of chains as it is the perfect blank canvas for the hundreds of multi stranded metal necklaces around right now. This Fiona Paxton necklace (2nd from top) was everywhere a while ago in silver but I love this black version available at http://www.urbanoutiftters.co.uk/ as its got a bit more edge than its silver and gold siblings. All the other necklaces are highstreet because I like to be able to play with trends like these and get cheapish pieces I can throw on and pull off. I threw in this great little bodycon ruched dress form Miss Selfridge too, just in case the Vanessa Bruno one sells out.

Fashion Her Now

Leather, bondage and bodycon and still hot to trot if one goes by these London revellers who are all still loving black patent bondage heels, pvc legings and biker jackets. However with summer looming all this darkness is sweetened up with girlish lace, opulent jackets or just lots of glossy locks. Charlie (second from top, left) showcases both denim and boyfriend blazers, two of this summers biggest trends, to create a casual and understated look. The neutral grey heels inject some chic to the look while the loose style and turned up sleeves of her vintage tan blazer keeps the look laid back and relaxed enough for a summer evening. I'm so jealous of that amazing jacket especially when she revealed it cost a mere two euros! The little lace dress I'm wearing (top) is over a year old and yet still feels just as current this summer as it did last year and is perfect with my trusty biker jacket. girly mini dress with lots of black...my standard go to. More Fashion Her Now (black tie) this weekend.

Harem Me

I've always been a bit unsure of the whole harem thing due to the worrying combination of my short legs with a saggy crocth. However these Topshop Temperley copy leopard print harems have got me convinced to the extent I'm about to buy mine online now. Unlike so many Harems the animal print on these give them a bohemian, laid back vibe that works day and night; by day their ibiza in a trouser and by night they perfectly balance out tailoring and heels. Wanted to team the nightime side with the black version of the nude Aldo heels I featured in my last post but polyvore wouldn't let me clip them for some reason...but I think these topshop spiky numbers are pretty good all the same. I love the trousers so much I kept everything else monochrome but a red lip or bright and bold clutch could inject some colour...Full marks to topshop once again .

Aldo Aldo!

Aldo are having a moment. Suddenly Aldo shoes are hot property and it's no surprise when you look at these amazing heels . I'm desperate for the nude Stolinski sandals which featured in the June issue of UK Vogue, there's just something about nude shoes that I love, particularly with a tan and a modern, angular black dress. Rumi Neely featured the studded Balmain-esque sandals in one of her editorials which look great on and are one of the few highstreet copies of Christopher Decarnin's studded sandals from S/S 09 which aren't sold out or ridiculously over-priced on ebay (i.e those infamous Zara copycats). The two black pairs are pefection too; the mesh pair exemplify the subtle, modern approach to the summer's sports luxe trend while the second from bottom pair are perfection with chunky wooden soles and woven black leather. I want them all! visit www.aldoshoes.com
