Maybe it's because I am at my most un-elegant right now, cooped up at home after my operation (really working the pale and interesting/white as a sheet look), but this beautiful street off-duty model look is really making me want to up the elegance ante.

Back to Back

I love a flash of back at the mo and am endlessly drawn to spaghetti straps and low-cut backs on tops and dresses for holiday.  It must a be Summer thing as it really is the only time of year that part of your body is on show. I guess as a child of the nineties, when the Calvin Klein bias-cut spaghetti strap dress was the eptiome of chic (still is in my opinion), a bit of back is forever associated in my mind with elegance and style.  

Tan lines and bra straps need not apply.

Talking of backs, I'm heading back to bed...the Summer lurgy caught up with me today so I've spent my Sunday drinking hot honey and lemon and dosing myself with cold and flu pills.  Hope you're weekends have been more eventful!

Hart the Heart

So glad I found Jessica Hart's new tumblr blog address.  Her pics of her travels and outfits are all so laidback and low key and with so many bloggers doing staged, awkward outfit posts, there's something really refreshing about the way she does it.  I think if I were to do outfit posts, I'd do 'em a bit like this (preferably with the Sydney Opera House in the background).

Cool Aussie girls are definitely ruling the style roost at the moment so it's hard to pick a fave but Jess H, in all her gappy-toothed glory, is definitely up there.

long time no show

I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted....things have been crazy.  I barely find enough time to sleep/think at the mo so blogging has fallen slightly from wayside.  But, after getting a lovely e-mail from the girls from gorgeous cashmere co Madeline Thompson I have had a new surge of energy to get this ball rolling again (hold me to that if there's another month gap!).

Plus, as soon as I saw E.W's awesome campaign for her collection for RVCA I had to put it up.

Neon and Nude

Trust Dree to get it spot on in Valentino....It's neon, but so far from the dreaded Nu Rave trend.  A lot of nude and a touch neon makes the whole thing soft, edgy, feminine and strong all rolled into one.

Erin's Closet Unveiled...

Inside Erin's wardrobe...I just want to spend ages staring at these pcis trying to work out each and every item.  It's when you see her closet as a whole that you Erin is a total Bohemian and has such a traveller, gypsy feel to every aspect of her wardrobe.  A true Narnia for any fan of Erin's nonchalant style-what would I give to go through the back of my wardrobe and find myself in Erin's.

My love for Anna is almost rivalling Abbey love right now...She is insane and make absolutely anything look amazing.  Also, any desperate housewives fans-don't you thinks she looks weirdly similar to Gabby's wannabe model niece Anna in some pics?
