Take note Taylor, this is how to do over the knee socks....Joseph gets it just right by teaming dark grey cashmere over the knee socks with a little jumper dress. Joseph have caused me serious trauma recently as ever since I spied this epic leopard print rabbit fur coat in their autumn winter look book it's all I can think about. It's one of those things that I really believe would make my life complete, infinitely better, easier and, needless to say, chicer. Sadly, at over 1,200, I'll have to remain incomplete and miserable and resign myself to Topshop's faux leopard number or trawl through ebay in the hope of finding a musty, moth-eaten replica.

Taylor Taylor Taylor
When it comes to style, it's often true that those who break and rules and colour outside the lines in their fashion choices are the real style mavericks, and whilst I'm not normally a real heckler for limiting and restictive so-called style 'rules' which often just instill fear and doubt in the everyday dresser, I do think Taylor's post-coital get up is just one rule-break too far. I can do sheer, cut out, ripped, shredded and dip-dyed but, call me old-fashioned, I'm still a firm believer that sheer hold up stockings should stay well within the bedroom/brothel, particuarly when teamed with a just-been-kissed lip and a bedraggled bed head. I know there's loads of people out there who love this girl but for me Taylor's outfit is a prime example of crossing the line from dishevelledly coy to just plain slutty. This is even more wrong when you consider she's still eligible to join the Brownies. Perhaps some baking and tent-builiding might sort her out...
Romeo Pires
I also went to the Romeo Pires show on Tuesday which was a total contrast to the House of Holland show. Models slowly wandered down the runway in flat, pointy brogues whilst wearing loose, bulbous concoctions of printed fabric. It was a new, innovative take on androgyny as the designers used shirts as the basis for many of the looks, but kept the looks oversized and sheer.. Skeleton and bone prints gave the looks an added edge of hardness and surprise. My favoruite looks of the collection are the black tuxedo mini dress (top) and the printed t-shirt and paint splattered hareem pants (bottom), as amid the sea of baggy all in ones and exaggerated button down dresses, these looks were a relief of wearability for me and gave the collection an injection of youthful accessibility. However, personal preference aside, the show was stunning in movement, colour and print and was made eerily compelling by the slow, chiming music. Fingers crossed I might be lucky enough to go to some Autumn Winter 2010 shows...
House of Holland
I was lucky enough to go to London Fashion week this year and, despite not being a fan Henry Holland's brashy trashy style, I was kind of excited about the wedding of the year themed Spring Summer 2010 collection. Stylewise, I have more in common with Mortia Addams than Bananarama, so its probably unsurprising that Henry Hollands love affair with neon and house-printed bold shouldered suits failed to give me goosebumps, but even a self-confessed colour phobe like myself couldnt fail to smile at the camp as Christmas fun factor of the show. Huge wedges and ironic, retro prints that matched the rainbow wedding confetti inside the invitations, gave the show an outlandishness which only the cheeky Northern designer can pull off. Along with the bold and brash body-con neon lace dresses, there were some amazingly subtle lace pieces, including a delicate nude lace blouse and softly tailored lace blazer. When teamed with buckled and cut out denim, these lace pieces gave a real femininity and sexiness to looks that were 80s in origin and neo-grunge in aesthetic. Ignore the Christopher-Kane neon rip off and dodgy suits, Henry Holland once again showcased the loud and proud design he's famous for whilst delivering the occasional demure surprise. Great introduction to LFW..

Anniieemal
Latest source of inspiration. I just can't stop checking out Miss Anniieemal's blog for daily pics and thoughts...The blog is named after the bloggers best friend Annie Mal, appropiate when you consider the duo's love of all think animal print, and features amazing photos of the two of them plus friends. Endless shots of their recent purchases, parties and personal inspiration. I have serious hair envy of Annie too...Check it out at http://anniieemal.blogspot.com/
